Liberty Corporate Finance is delighted to announce it has advised the management team of Cooper Parry on the acquisition by Lee Equity, marking a new chapter in its growth journey.

Following two years of significant expansion, Lee Equity replaces Waterland Private Equity as the firm's capital partner. Waterland played a pivotal role in supporting the company’s ambition to become a leading UK accountancy firm, helping to expand its capabilities and nationwide presence.

Over the past two years, the company has achieved substantial growth through 11 acquisitions, including Haines Watts London, UHY Manchester, Cloud Orca, and MacroFin. This M&A activity, along with a differentiated client experience and strong business development, has contributed to a fourfold increase in turnover, now reaching £180m. The firm has also maintained a robust organic growth rate of over 24% annually from FY21-24.

With more than 1,450 employees, the company now operates across five superhub locations in the UK and serves a wide range of clients, including those overseas. It has become one of the UK's largest mid-market accountancy firms and is recognized for its entrepreneurial leadership, strong brand, and tech-enabled specialist services. Additionally, it is the largest UK accountancy firm to attain B Corp status and consistently excels in employee satisfaction, as reflected in its high Glassdoor and NPS scores.
