Audiotonix

March 2017
UK, £100m - £500m

Liberty is pleased to announce that Epiris has completed the sale of Audiotonix, a leading manufacturer of audio mixing consoles, to Astorg, a leading European private equity firm.

Audiotonix is the global market leader in the design and manufacture of audio mixing consoles for live events and broadcast sound.

The Audiotonix brands are renowned globally for innovation, outstanding performance and reliability.

Over the last few years, and with the support of Epiris and Livingbridge, the company has become the market leader in live sound around the world with a dedicated management team, innovative products and commitment to the future of the business and customer base. Epiris initially invested in the acquisition of Allen & Heath in 2013. This was followed by the acquisition of Calrec in March 2014 and a merger with DiGiCo in August of that year to form Audiotonix. These three transactions created a market leader with a strong growth profile.

Astorg is a European private equity firm with total funds under management of over €4 billion, that actively seeks to partner with market leading companies lead by entrepreneurial management teams.

Liberty were appointed by the management, led by James Gordon CEO, to advise on their incentive package.

James Gordon commented: We are delighted to partner with Astorg who have demonstrated an impressive understanding of our business and our core strengths. With their support we aim to capitalise on our manufacturing capabilities, strengthen our worldwide development program and enrich our product portfolio."
